Dr. Robert A. Pearlman is a Professor at the University of Washington in the Departments of Medicine (Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine), Health Services and Bioethics and Humanities. He is nationally known for conducting empirical evaluations of clinical and organizational ethics practices, including research on end-of life preferences and decision making, such as advance care planning and the role of quality of life in decision-making.
