OnlinePlease join the Department of Tropical Medicine for this installment of the DTM Seminar Series: "Geospatial analysis of healthcare access in the Democratic Republic of the Congo" by Alyssa Young, PhD student.
"Analysis of routine surveillance data is an essential component of malaria programming, however the use of such data in accurately quantifying malaria burden is challenging due to variations in health care access and use. This research focuses on predicting the location and density of underserved populations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) through the application of accessibility-informed catchment models, with the goal of improving interpretation of malaria surveillance data in the DRC."
