In 2002, to prepare new graduates to becomeleaders in academic medicine our fellowship wasfounded. Over nearly twenty years, it has trained 30 leaders who are serving in a variety of leadership positions including as Vice Presidents, Chief Operating Officers, and Hospital Presidents. While many of our fellows remain at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and BJC Healthcare, others are enjoying incredible careers and extending our brand at leading healthcare organizations across the country.

The David A. Gee Fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital participates in the National Administrative Fellowship Centralized Application Service (NAFCAS). Our application is now LIVE.

Please email us at BJHAdminFellowship@bjc.org with any financial concerns regarding the NAFCAS application or any other questions.

First-Year: In the first year, fellows rotate throughout departments and participate in long-term strategic projects. This rotational model is designed to help fellows develop time management and project management skills, while exploring a variety of clinical and operational departments.

Second-Year: The second year is designed to accelerate learning in a specific department area of Barnes- Jewish Hospital or BJC Healthcare based on interest and organizational need.

Join us to learn more about our 2-year administrative fellowship, including details aboutthe application process, rotational observations, project work, and post-fellowship opportunities.
