SPHTM Career Services is committed to supporting students and alumni during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are currently in the practicum or job search or have questions about how the pandemic is affecting the public health profession, we are here virtually to connect over any and all career and professional concerns. We are encouraging virtual appointments for all students.
You can use the links below to schedule a virtual Zoom appointment with a member of our Career Team:
The School maintains a dedicated COVID-19 webpage where we encourage you to stay up to date on the school's operations and read about the impact our students, faculty, and alumni are making on the front lines. We also have SPHTM students, faculty, and staff diligently working on projects and programs around COVID relief. Check out our 6 student groups working on Sprinting to the Front Lines COVID projects.
Job Searching during COVID-19 is an instructional guide for students and alumni currently in the job search. It discusses changes you'll want to make to your traditional search and frequently asked questions about how COVID-19 is affecting the public health industry. While much of the job search remains the same, the ways we network, interview, and work are changing. Navigating a job negotiation may also expand to include discussions about work from home benefits, flexible scheduling, healthcare leave, and more.
If you are a student looking to get more actively involved in COVID research or relief projects, we are happy to help you navigate your search. All research assistant positions, COVID social media campaign workers, and local COVID support positions will be posted in Handshake.
