The Department of Tropical Medicine has a long and proud history of contributions to parasitology and tropical medicine. SGA 's Cocktails for the Cure
 SGA hosted its first social event and philanthropy fundraiser of the year entitled "Cocktails for the Cure". This event took place at the upscale Cure Lounge (uptown), and attendance exceeded 120 SPHTM students. SGA was able to raise over $750 for our New Orleans Start HeartWalk Team, and will meet our donation goal of $500. It was a wonderful night with great company and specialty foods and cocktails.
