Criteria for Nomination:

Individuals named as Leaders in Global Health espouse the core values of the school and further its goals through their lifelong commitment to public health domestically, internationally, and globally.  These Leaders will be nominated by faculty, staff, and alumni of the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.  Nominees are expected to be external professionals who are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in global health.  Global Health is defined as health issues that transcend borders, boundaries, and socio-economic status.  Internal candidates may be considered but they must be alumni of the SPHTM. A nominating committee made up of Centennial Committee members will select the awardees.  Alumnae serving on the Nominating Committee are not eligible for the awards. Presentation of the awards will be made at the SPHTM Centennial Celebration, November 9 to 11, 2012. Awardees must be able to attend the Celebration. There are three categories of award: Senior Leader in Global Health, Junior Leader in Global Health, and Community Leader in Global Health, and award winners will reflect the range of academic departments at the school.

Nomination forms are available online at www.sph.tulane.edu/centennial, and by request from the Dean's Office. These forms must be completed in full, as incomplete nomination forms will be rejected. A form will be deemed incomplete if any section of requested information is left blank. If a category of information requested does not apply to your nominee, please write in "DOES NOT APPLY."
