Tulane SPHTM is the oldest school of public health, one of only two schools of tropical medicine, and the only combined school of public health and tropical medicine. CEPH-accredited since 1947.

The school and its faculty are active participants of: the American Public Health Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, Hispanic-Serving Health Professions Schools, and many other leading health organizations.
