Emergency Preparedness and Program Communication
The MD/MPH Emergency Preparedness document details how the following entities will communicate with MD/MPH students in the event of an extended emergency: Tulane University, Tulane's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Tulane's School of Medicine, and the MD/MPH Combined Degree  Program.

MD/MPH students should print a copy of this document and keep it with the other documents with which they will evacuate.

MD/MPH Faculty Advisors
The MD/MPH advisor for each public health department is available to help MD/MPH students in that department plan course schedules, meet graduation requirements, plan and complete Capstones, and incorporate public health degrees into career plans.  Students should communicate with their advisors each semester to plan their public health schedules and to stay on track for graduation.

Select your department link from the Program Requirements page for your advisor's contact information.

MD/MPH Guidebook
MD/MPH combined degree students receive a guidebook during their MD/MPH orientation.  Please keep this guidebook for your records.

MD/MPH Listserv
All MD/MPH students are enrolled on the MD/MPH listserv, where we post program announcements and deadlines.  Please check your Tulane email account regularly for listserv mailings.  If you are not receiving MD/MPH listserv mailings, please contact Allys Dierker.

MD/MPH Student Group Executive Committee
Each year, a new group of second-year MD/MPH students is selected to serve on the MD/MPH Student Executive Committee.  The executive committee serves as a liaison between students and faculty, and participates on the MD/MPH Advisory Committee (MMAC) and MD/MPH events.  First-year students who are interested in serving on the executive committee should contact the current committee for details.

MD/MPH Workshops and Sessions
Each year, the MD/MPH program offers helpful sessions and workshops, including an MD/MPH orientation, a residency interview workshop, senior exit interviews, a student/faculty reception, student panel discussions, and first- and second-year advising sessions.  Watch your Tulane email account for details!

MyTulane
MyTulane is the software platform that many Tulane courses use to deliver course content.  In addition, all MD/MPH students have access to the MyTulane organization site "MD/MPH Program" where program announcements, peer discussions, and rotation information are often posted.

Your "username" is your email address without the "@tulane.edu."  Your "password" is the password you use to access your Tulane email account.  After you log in, you should see available MyTulane sites for any classes and organizations in which you are participating.

Travel Funds
MD/MPH students may be able to request travel funds from the Medical Student Government (MSG) to attend professional conferences.  Please contact MSG directly for policies, procedures, and deadlines for funding requests.
