Gloria Igihozo, our 3rd year PhD student, received several awards this year for her research on barriers to preventing podoconiosis in rural women in Rwanda.
Gloria won 1st place in the Delta Omega Poster Award Competition and was accepted to the national Delta Omega competition at APHA. She also was this year’s Dean of the WSPH Award for Excellence in Research and Presentation by a WSPH Doctoral Student, and presented at the Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit 2025.
