Biography
Dr. Rustin Reed is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (11378) and Certified Safety Professional (34673) at the University of Arizona, with over 10 years of experience in mining and other industries. He is also an MSHA-Approved Instructor for Part 48 and an Authorized OSHA Trainer for General Industry. Dr. Reed is also the Lead Instructor of Bowen EHS’s Online CIH Review Course. He is a former Chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Association's Mining Working Group. Rustin has experience teaching at the secondary, undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels, as well as managing research projects cumulatively valued at over $10 million. His research interests include heat, noise, silica, and diesel exhaust exposures, as well as the use of serious games and machine learning to improve mine safety and health. Rustin is happily married and has four children, aged 15 to 6, and enjoys doing anything outdoors.
