IAV is engaged in the development and promotion of research, training and consulting activities on infectious diseases and parasitology, assisting government institutions and universities in their healthcare, administrative, technical and teaching functions, to contribute to the clinical-epidemiological diagnosis, management, control and prevention of these diseases and to improve the health of the affected populations.
